  Orangevale park walking path

With the best views of the Sierra Nevada mountain range and foothills, Orangevale (named for the orange groves that populated the area) continues to be an agricultural small city (population over 26,000 people) while allowing itself a slow and steady growth of business, schools, and homes.   Next to the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area, Orangevale residents and visitors can partake of the various recreational activities nearby such as viewing the bluffs on the American River, to visiting the Nimbus fish hatchery, to playing sports at the Orangevale Community Park.

Orangevale is also serviced by the San Juan Unified School District.  There are also many area churches, clubs (such as the rotary, woman's group, youth soccer and baseball, square dancer's club, as well as the Lion's, Grange, and VFW) and activities year-round.  Some of the community events include: Pow Wow Days, Cook-off's and sporting events.  A small town feel with horses, and orchards, combined with many gorgeous natural endeavors to partake, Orangevale is easily one of the best places to reside!
