Sacramento's history is quite vivid. Old Town Sacramento as it is now referred too, is a living monument to the city's rich past. Started as a fort, called Sutter's fort in the mid-nineteenth century, there are many historic buildings still in existence although the fire of 1852 wiped a lot of them out. Now, most of them house restaurants, galleries, shopping and other tourist attractions. Within Old Sacramento, is the California State Railroad Museum. Other attractions for tourists include historic trains, rides in horse drawn carriages, cruises on antique riverboats. One riverboat, called the Delta King is moored on the river and is a hotel, theatre, and restaurant. Old Sacramento State Historic Park attracts over five million people annually. There are still some tunnels that are in existence that are from the old streets and storefronts. Sacramento has no end to sporting and athletic fun either. Home to both the NBA Sacramento Kings and the WNBA 2005 champions, the Sacramento Monarchs both play at Arco Arena. There is also a minor league basketball team and minor league baseball team.
