Rocklin Real Estate and Homes for Sale

   One of Rocklins beautiful parks

Rocklin is one of the fastest growing cities in California.  With a population just over 50,000 people, it is well on its way to being just as large as it's sister city, Roseville.   With excellent schools, parks, and shopping, Rocklin is yet another ideal destination.

Rocklin was home to the railroad repairs facility until 1906, when it moved to nearby Roseville.  When that happened, Rocklin had to redefine itself in order to remain a city.  Rocklin's claim to fame then became the mining of granite. In 1910, 22 quarries operated in Rocklin and, in 1912, nearly 2,000 train carloads of granite were sent out of town. Granite for the state capitol and many of the buildings in San Francisco came from Rocklin’s quarries.

Recreational options are vast in Rocklin.  These complement the finest schools, businesses, and homes.  The city of Rocklin maintains over twenty-six developed parks and another 200 acres of open space for its residents.   You'll find many diverse recreational opportunities strategically located and easily accessible throughout the city. There are also many historical sites that can be visited.  Such as the old quarries, racetrack, railroad depot, and the central pacific roundhouse.   Some sites are still active today, such as the skating rink, museums, and the beautiful Victorian homes you can view.
